Ray checked in for the Toronado out of Pierpoint Landing. We're on the second of a two-dayer. Yesterday, we were out on the outer waters here. Managed to pluck off a dozen bluefin tuna so far and some bottom fillers for the guys. Today, we're in a little different area there. Weather's been up a bit the whole trip, but still hanging in there. The guys are on the railing.

Ray checked in for the Toronado out of Pierpoint Landing. We're on a 1.5-day trip looking for tuna. Up to 18 or 19 fish and seen some pretty nice schools around. We'll be sticking around here til dark to get a few more samplings of these fish. Anyways, decent fishing and everyone's getting their chances. Morning guys, checking in from our charter, started off on the yellowtail grounds and picked up 1 nicer yellow, almost 30 lbs, and picking away at the calicos, whitefish, and sheephead for the guys. Beautiful weather at the island, see what else we can find. Got some time left, looking up the island to try to catch a few more fish for these guys. Ray checked in for the Toronado out of Pierpoint Landing. We have a charter with us today, and they didn't want to deal with the weather that picked up on the tuna grounds, so we stayed at the island picking away at the calico bass, nice whitefish, and sheephead. We also just picked up a yellowtail, and we hooked another one. We're starting to get some yellowtail action, and we have plenty of daylight still to fish. We'll check back later on. Ray checked in for the Toronado out of Pierpoint Landing. Hey, guys, just give you an update. Tornado came in from their trip this morning. Pretty good fishing, a lot of sign, a lot of fish, typical bluefin. And there were 27 mixed fish, some big guys, most in the medium-sized fish. Decent weather, and they're right back out tonight.

Looked high and low, all around for the exotics and ended up with a handful of the bluefin tuna, about 40 lbs. And one nice yellow, and we're headed back towards the tuna grounds. Ray checked in for the Toronado out of Pierpoint Landing. Checking in from our 2-day trip, we concentrated on the offshore cricut, fished the entire day, and evening, Bluefin tuna and the calico part, we have 50+ on the bluefin tuna. Pretty good plunk first thing in the morning, and then slower mid day thing, and then got another evening bite a little after dark. A couple handfuls of fish there for the trip. We're back at the island trying to catch some calico bass and sheephead. Overall, everyone's having fun. Ray has the current fish report for you below.

We're on the first of a 2-day trip, and found a little school, a handful of the 40 to 45 pound fish in the dark and just sat on it and started picking away at it after daybreak. Working on a slow plunker still, picking fish in the same area that we caught fish in the dark. Probably up to 25+ Bluefin, anywhere from 20 to 60 pounds. A little smaller-sized fish after daybreak, but anyway, still plunking away. Nice grade fish and pretty nice weather, a little showery but all good. Rick checked in for the Toronado out of Pierpoint Landing. Hey guys. Finally, this Friday night, we have a 2-day trip going out this weekend with openings still available. It's $595 per person, including a dinner on the way out. Departs at 6 pm. "Tuna, offshore banks, or bust" will primarily be our target for this trip. This trip is a FOR SURE GO. They did just get in from a trip on Monday with 47 bluefin for 16 anglers. It looked like a pretty dang good trip. A lot of the fish being caught in the shallows on the anchor and by drifting. Some exciting news, the Tornado has changed ownership. Joe has sold the boat and is moving on. The crew is excited to have new owners who are committed to improving the experience. We have a lot of plans for the boat. Some improvements are already lined up, coming in the next couple weeks, and couple months. Also, a new website should be in the works, more user-friendly and comprehensive, with new contact information for us. If you guys are interested, give us a call. Have a good one.

Mike checked in for the Toronado out of Pierpoint Landing. We docked up last night returning from a two-day trip with 47 bluefin for the 16 anglers on board, which is encouraging. The fish have moved onto the offshore banks. 40 of our 47 fish were caught in the shallows, either on anchor or by drifting. That's great news, ending the last half of August and September for sure. Some exciting news that Toronado has changed ownership, Joe has sold and is moving on. Crew is excited to have new owners who are committed to improving the experience on board with plans for improvements already being made for the coming weeks and months. A website is also in the works, being more user-friendly and comprehensive, with new contact information and email address.

Finally, we have an upcoming Friday night two-day trip this weekend with openings available at $595 per person, including a dinner on the way out. Ray checked in for the Toronado out of Pierpoint Landing. We are just returning from our 2-Day charter to the offshore grounds and also the Outer Banks. We had a 41 bluefin up to about 70 pounds, some on the anchor and some off in the deeper water there. We also caught a couple of yellowtail mixed in there and a few bottom fish. This was mainly a group that wanted to fish mostly offshore and concentrate on that bigger bluefin, so we stayed offshore a lot. But everybody had a good time. We had good fishing.
