Andrew checked in for the Enterprise out of Pierpoint Landing. We did the same thing as yesterday. We fished the kelp lines and had a pretty good morning. The bonito were aggressive, and it was pretty much all you wanted--they were pretty easy to catch. We also caught some nice big calico bass. In the afternoon, we went out and caught some rockfish. Ryan checked in for the City of Long Beach out of Pierpoint Landing. We ran yesterday with a light load of 15 people and had real good fishing. We fished on the bottom and managed to capture quite a few gaffer-sized sheephead, lots of sculpin, and miscellaneous shallow water rockfish. The water temps dropped a little, so it has been tougher to get a surface fish. We've been fishing shallow water for all the stuff that we're catching. Ryan has the latest fish report for you below.

Lunchtime report, we're back out today and really good calico bass fishing, bonita, and a few yellowtail popping up around as well, the bigger ones. We hooked four of those larger yellowtail, now 12 to 15 lbs. Sheephead, and a few other odds and ends, including barracuda; it was really good fishing. Andrew checked in for the Enterprise out of Pierpoint Landing. We had a full boat today and decided to fish the surface. We had good bonito fishing, and the nice big calico bass were biting as well. We also had some really good action on a lot of short barracuda. We then did a little rock fishing at midday and caught all kinds of miscellaneous rockfish along with some whitefish, and sheephead. Then in the afternoon we went back in and caught more calico bass and more barracuda. Overall, we put a pretty good day together for a lot of people, and had some really nice weather. So good fishing, good times, and still plenty of fish to catch. Andrew has the latest fish report for you below.

Andrew checked in for the Enterprise out of Pierpoint Landing. We went back to the island and checked a different zone. We had success with great water conditions with no sea lions. We had very good bonito fishing. Catching them was really easy today. We also caught big calico bass, lots and lots of sheephead, and all the whitefish you could want. Overall, we had lots of good fishing, and the weather was amazing. Andrew has the latest fish report for you below.

Bobby checked in for the City of Long Beach out of Pierpoint Landing. We had really beautiful weather today for our group. Overall, we ended up with a nice mixed bag of fish. Our 61 anglers caught limits of red snapper, 165 whitefish, 35 miscellaneous rockfish, 10 sculpin, and 8 sheephead.  We mostly focused on the bottom today and stayed in about 150 feet of water to minimize tangles, and it paid off with some great quality fishing. The red snapper were in the 2-6 pound range, and the white fish were pretty nice-sized too. Bobby has the latest fish report and tackle recommendations for you below.

Andrew checked in for the Enterprise out of Pierpoint Landing. We spent the day at Catalina with a full boat. There was a lot of boat traffic and sea lions. We fished the kelp lines and fished the rockfish as well. We managed a couple large yellowtail, bonito, bass, barracuda, blue perch, and whitefish. We then spent about an hour and a half in the deeper water and caught some rockfish before heading back to the shallows until the sea lions got on us. Ray checked in for the Toronado out of Pierpoint Landing. We're on the second of a two-dayer. Yesterday, we were out on the outer waters here. Managed to pluck off a dozen bluefin tuna so far and some bottom fillers for the guys. Today, we're in a little different area there. Weather's been up a bit the whole trip, but still hanging in there. The guys are on the railing.
